7th Annual Influence the Choice Student Video Contest

While the majority of students in our community don’t abuse drugs or alcohol, almost every student is confronted with a choice about alcohol or drugs at some time during their school years. How can students best communicate ways to resist the temptations of drugs and alcohol, or to promote mental wellness, to their peers? Influence the Choice Drug Prevention Alliance for Youth is sponsoring a video contest to inspire youth to POSITIVELY influence each other by producing 2 minute public service announcements.  Winning videos are eligible for cash prizes (the Grand Prize is $1000!) and videos will be shown at Issaquah School District schools, on city TV stations, and at civic events.  To get started, download the rules and regulations (click on the image to open the document), follow the guidelines and the tips provided, create your video, and submit your application.  You could be a winner, but even better, you can help "influence the choice" of your friends and fellow students.  Good luck! The deadline for submitting videos to the contest is March 15, 2019.
