Youth Opposed to Drug Abuse (YODA) students present a forum called "How To Talk To Your Parents About Drugs" at last year's State of Mind conference.
Influence the Choice -- Drug Prevention Alliance for Youth is affiliated with the Issaquah Schools Foundation. The Foundation provides Influence the Choice with its non-profit status, an annual donation and oversight.
Influence the Choice is funded by a federal Drug Free Community grant through the White House National Office of Drug Control Policy (also known as the "Drug Czar"), and monitored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The grant is worth $125,000 per year for five years, with an option to apply for a second, or continuation grant in 2018. The continuation grant application was filed in March; grant awards are announced in August, 2018.

The Alliance meets monthly except July. Meetings are held from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the first Monday of every month at the Issaquah Police Station Eagle room in downtown Issaquah. To check on a particular meeting, please contact Andie Adee, Project Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org.
