Our Mission
Influence the Choice is a non-profit, community-based, grass roots organization dedicated to preventing substance use and promoting the mental, physical, and social wellness of our youth.
YouthOver the past ten years, we have worked tirelessly on behalf of the mental health and wellness of the youth in our service area. Through our community and school district education efforts and ongoing programs like our annual student video contest, youth leadership conferences, the Action Forum for Youth, Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit, and much more, we work to assure that our students and their families have the opportunity to engage and thrive!

Substance use prevention and mental health promotion are the most robust and cost-effective methods of supporting our youth that we can offer. In this light, Influence the Choice works with youth, parents and our community, to utilize the research-based Strategic Prevention Framework. Environmental strategies of change require consistent engagement to enact lasting change. Help us stay up stream in support of healthy youth!

Thank you, community, volunteers, donors and friends of ITC! YOU put the fun in substance prevention! In 2023 hundreds of youths in Issaquah, Renton, Sammamish, Bellevue and Newcastle learned refusal skills, resilience and leadership - all of which increase mental wellness and prevent/reduce substance use. YOU are appreciated and we are filled with gratitude. This Thankful video shows students learning positive peer communication to ensure all steps in the game are followed, leaving no one out! |
