For Teens, by Teens

Teen Talk is speaker-led presentations and student-led discussions.
Teen Talk creates space for teens to connect on issues impacting their daily lives.

Teen Talk: Parent Edition

This edition of Parent Talk will be about vaping. We will have a presentation done by students about what vaping is and the background behind why it’s become such a big issue. The students will be sharing the best ways to approach your student about it from their perspective. Speakers will include Jackie Sharp, SUDP, Prevention Counselor, who will be talking to us about vaping and the negative effects on the developing brain. Finally, we will have a Teen Panel for the parents to ask questions to the students about vaping.

Taking Care of Your Mental Health

TECH (Teens Encouraging Community Health) is hosting our first Teen Talk. This Teen Talk will be centered around mental health awareness, coping skills, and stigmas. The event is discussion-based; we will have small presentations by Sara Young, and then following each small presentation, a time for teens to talk to other teens about each topic.
