OUR TEAM IN ACTION

Our History

In 2011, a group of community members who all had a passion for the behavioral health and wellness of our youth convened in an effort to make a difference. From the beginning, Influence the Choice was a community-based, grass-roots organization. In the fall of 2013, Influence the Choice was awarded a federal Drug Free Community Grant worth $125,000 per year for up to ten years. This grant helps us to reduce alcohol, cannabis and illegal prescription drug use among youth in the Issaquah School District. In September of 2018, Influence the Choice received its non-profit status and renewal of our federal Drug Free Community grant through 2023. Our work continues today.
